ChromaCon is co-authoring contributions together with LONZA ("Model-based Optimization of a 2-step Chromatographic Peptide Purification"), ROCHE ("Exploit Modeling for 'Quality by Design' of a Polypeptide Purification: From Process Optimization to Design Space") and MERCK SERONO ("Purification of Monoclonal Antibodies: Performance Comparison of Batch and Continuous Chromatography").
Jan. 2008: Publication of results of MCSGP-study with Novartis MCSGP-Process shows increase in productivity by 25fold with respect to current batch purification process for a biopharmaceutical in a joint project with NOVARTIS (press release).
Jan. 2008: MCSGP is the SMB for proteins "Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology News", interview with director of R&D at Merck KGaA, Germany: "Simulated moving bed chromatography has been scaled up within the last 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry to 1,500 tons of drug enantiomers a year produced by several systems, and the same success story might be possible for the MCSGP technology in the field of peptide and protein separations".
